     I stand before the Arizona Diamondbacks organization and its loyal fans with a single, unwavering credo: the era of mediocrity ends today. For seven brutal years, this franchise has wandered in the wilderness—100-loss seasons, fractured rosters, and a fan base left to wonder if the desert sun would ever rise again on championship baseball in Phoenix. I accept that inheritance not as an excuse, but as the raw material for something greater. As the new General Manager and Manager, I do not promise overnight miracles or splashy headlines. I promise a complete, methodical rebuild that will forge a dynasty—one that does not merely compete, but dominates for decades. This is not a renovation; it is a rebirth that will permeate every scout, coach, player, front-office staffer, and fan who chooses to join us.

     We will build a system that fans yearn to be part of—a culture of excellence where every stakeholder feels ownership in the pursuit of sustained greatness. Fairness will guide us, but intelligence will rule. There will be no tolerance for accidents born of carelessness, no mistaking our finite time as something expendable. Every decision, every at-bat, every draft pick will be weighed against the long arc of a championship window that stretches far beyond any single season. We will not chase shortcuts. We will chase permanence.

     The road from 100 losses to 100 wins will not be paved in one offseason. It will demand patience, grit, and the honest acknowledgment that undoing seven years of erosion requires at least three to five full seasons of deliberate, organization-wide reconstruction. We will tear down what does not serve winning and rebuild from the ground up: elite player development, data-driven scouting, a farm system stocked with future stars, and a major-league roster built for both today and tomorrow. By the end of this cycle, the Diamondbacks will not merely fend for themselves—they will stand self-sustaining, resilient, and feared across the National League.

No other GM or manager has offered this level of access, and I will.
